 | This course teaches a first introduction to programming in Java. It is the main crucial prerequisite course for all else that follows in the IT degree.
Objectives
By the end of SFDV2003 students will be able to:
· Intellectual growth including higher level skills of problem identification and problem solving.
· An ability to investigate a problem, to device an algorithm for its solution, and to implement that algorithm efficiently and effectively.

Syntax and Structural Semantics
Teacher: Ms. Fatma Alhajri
 | This is an introductory course in syntactic and semantic analysis of language. It examines how words are organised in phrases and the relationships between parts of a sentence. The course also introduces the notions of structural ambiguity and thematic relations, as well as constraints and their relationship to ungrammaticality.
